Hoosier Soldier Laid To Rest In Hometown

(SCOTTSBURG) - A fallen Indiana soldier returned home to a hero’s welcome in southern Indiana Tuesday.
The body of Joe Montgomery was brought back to Scottsburg in a black hearse past an estimated two-thousand veterans and townspeople who lined a processional route stretching nearly from Interstate 65 to the town square.
The 29-year-old army enlistee was killed May 22nd on a mission in Baghdad, Iraq.
