(DALEVILLE) - An interstate crash has killed the daughter of an Indiana state senator.

29-year-old Shanna Branch was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on I-69 near Daleville Thursday.

Branch was driving northbound when traffic slowed to a near stop because of an over-size vehicle traveling on the interstate. Branch was rear-ended by a semitrailer. The impact then pushed Branch's car into another tractor-trailer.

Branch is the daughter of State Senator Timothy Skinner of Terre Haute.

Authorities say the crash was apparently caused by driver inattention, but the collision remains under investigation.
