Snow Emergency Warning System In The Works

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Because of confusion this past winter over snow emergencies from county to county, the Indiana Department of Homeland Security is looking into come up with a standard system that will apply across the state.
Spokeswoman Pam Bright says each county had its own system to determine who should be out on the roads at certain times. That caused confusion when people traveled from county to county.
Bright says the state plans to talk with county emergency management directors and come up with a standard by next winter.
