Garfield Statue Returns To Marion
Last updated on Thursday, April 12, 2007
(MARION) - Garfield is back in Marion.
The statue was taken down last year after police discovered his head was missing. The head was later found.
A man had admitted to police that the head had fallen off as he hugged the statue. He got scared and took the head with him, then decided to leave it on the side of the road.
It was later discovered that the company that made the fiberglass statue had not properly reinforced the area around the cat's neck.
