(ANDERSON) - A Madison County woman set to plead guilty to drug charges has decided instead she’ll fight those counts, as well as charges of child neglect which had been dropped as part of a deal with prosecutors.

Amanda Wiles faces separate cases alleging drug possession and neglect of a dependent. Police say they found wiles with drugs and accompanying paraphernalia and later learned she'd left her daughter alone with a convicted child molester twice in December of 2004.

Wiles says she had a prescription for the drugs and says she withdrew her guilty plea because her lawyer had not properly informed her what she was doing when she signed it.
