(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis Metro Police raided another pea shake house on the city’s north side Tuesday morning.

Police made three outright arrests and issued tickets to three customers.

51-year old William Klingscales and 49-year old Rodney Wallace were arrested on several gambling counts. 51-year old Clarence Johnson was arrested for promoting professional gambling and unlawful gambling.

Police confiscated pull tabs, baseball cards, bill counters and a large amount of cash. The building also had surveillance cameras with split screens to monitor the outside.

One woman who got a ticket says she sees no harm because the state already runs river boats and the lottery. But Sergeant Matt Mount says this in not a victimless crime. He says the first victims are the families that lose money.

He adds the gambling also attracts people with guns and prior arrests, which can lead to violence.

This is the fifth raid since police started the crackdown about a month ago.
