IPL Employee Killed In Accident
Last updated on Monday, March 19, 2007
(GREENWOOD) - An Indianapolis power and light employee struck by a falling piece of lift equipment Friday has died.
14-year IPL veteran Christopher Hancock was replacing a transformer at a Greenwood home when a collapse caused the piece of equipment to fall on top of him.
IPL officials say they won't release many details of the collapse until after an internal investigation of safety procedures in place at the time of the incident is complete.
