(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis’ bid book for the 2011 Super Bowl is due to the NFL next week.

City officials say they are wrapping up their pitch, which is several hundred pages in length. The next step, after delivering the bid book, will be for the NFL owners to meet and vote, which is slated for may.

Indy is up against Dallas and Phoenix for the 2011 Super Bowl. Deputy Mayor Steve Campbell says the city is still negotiating with private business owners for donations to help secure the bid.

City officials are counting on the new Lucas Oil Stadium and the expansion of the convention center, to help romance the NFL. City officials recently passed a new ordinance that forbids ticket scalping for the big game.
