State Police Change Focus On Meth Arrests

(UNDATED) - The Indiana State Police recently reported a decline in meth lab busts in the state.
Now the battle against methamphetamine has shifted to a new front. Putnam County Sheriff Mark Frisbie, a member of the Commission for a Drug Free Indiana, says the state is ramping up training for officers in interdiction.
Frisbie says more of the drug is being produced in Mexico and shipped north to Indiana for sale. He adds the state needs to focus on rehabilitating meth offenders, instead of just labeling them like it does sex offenders.
