Last updated on Wednesday, February 28, 2007
(NORTH VERNON) - Investigators say a North Vernon house fire in November that killed four family members was likely caused by the drug-induced suicide of one of the victims.
North Vernon Detective Ivory Sandefur states in a report that 42-year-old Elena Hardwick was found with Prozac and amphetamines in her system and that she likely set the home ablaze.
Hardwick, 72-year-old Helen dean, 23-year-old Erika Hardwick and 18-month-old Hunter Hardwick all died in the fire.
