(MADISON) - A man who admits he head-butted a police officer in the town of Hanover has been sentenced to a month behind bars.

19-year old Lance Jines got into an altercation with Officer Mika Jackson on May 22nd after Jines got into an argument with someone else inside the home where he was staying.

Officer Jackson says Jines escaped as she tried to handcuff him and was then attacked. Jackson used pepper spray to slow Jines, who still began to run before tripping over a tree stump.
