ISP To Patrol SE Indiana
(UNDATED) - Indiana State Police will increase patrols on interstate and state highways today in a special enforcement operation with officers from Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.
About 40 state police officers are targeting commercial motor vehicles in the southeastern part of Indiana.
ISP Captain Brent Bible says the four different law enforcement agencies hope to send a clear message to truck drivers that police take federal regulations seriously in their respective states.
Officers will also look for reckless drivers in passenger vehicles. Bible says troopers have participated in similar efforts in other corners of the state to promote commercial vehicle safety.
