Electric Co. Donating To Low-Income Fund

(PLAINFIELD) - Duke Energy has made the first installment of a $2.5-million donation to a fund which helps low-income Hoosiers pay their bills.
The Office of Utility Consumer Counselor and Utility Regulatory Commission will help distribute the cash, which will come in the form of five yearly payments of $500,000.
Duke is also giving $40-million in rate credits between June of this year and June of 2007.
