Doctors Say To Prepare For The Flu Season

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has designated this week as National Influenza Vaccination Week. It's just an effort to raise awareness of the importance of continuing influenza vaccination. Heather Hughet with the Central Indiana Visiting Nurse Service says interest in getting the flu vaccination has traditionally tapered off after Thanksgiving. Since flu activity typically does not peak until February or later, November and December are also good times to be vaccinated.
