Indiana's Do-Not-Call Law Wins Again
Last updated on Thursday, October 26, 2006
(STATEHOUSE) - A federal court has upheld the state’s ability to prosecute violators of its Do-Not-Call law.
A judge has ruled a Virginia company cannot continue to use its database of almost two million Indiana phone numbers to make prerecorded calls.
The company, freeeats.com, challenged Attorney General Steve Carter's legal authority and Carter asked the judge not to rule in the case. The judge ruled in favor of the Attorney General.
