(UNDATED) - Friday’s distribution of $75-million in road and bridge money to Indiana cities and counties includes the princely sum of $6.86 for the town of New Amsterdam in Harrison County.

Each city's share of the money from the toll road lease is determined by a formula based on car and truck traffic.

It makes sense that New Amsterdam wouldn't have much according to the census bureau, the population of the town on the Ohio River is...one.

Visitors who have driven through say it looks like there are as many as nine residents.
