Governor Receives National Award

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A national organization for cities which are home to military bases has named Governor Daniels its public official of the year.
The Association of Defense Communities says Daniels not only succeeded in protecting most jobs at the Crane Naval Weapons Support Center from last year's base-closing process, but showed an "impressive" ability to move legislation quickly to help shield the base.
The ADC presented Daniels with the award in Indianapolis at its annual conference.
