State Drops Screening Test

(UNDATED) - The State Department of Health has killed a free osteoporosis-screening program for Hoosier women.
Health Commissioner Judith Monroe says she canceled the nine-year-old osteoporosis screening program based on a Stanford review of studies of the bone-density test.
That review concluded the test fails to spot osteoporosis one in five times and nearly half the positive readings for osteoporosis are wrong too.
