Inspectors Check Amusement Park Ride After Incident
Last updated on Friday, July 07, 2006
(ANGOLA) - A roller coaster that left riders hanging upside-down for 45 minutes on Saturday had passed a recent state inspection.
The Indiana Department of Fire and Building Services examined the Afterburner Roller Coaster in Angola in May, and seven problems were spotted and later repaired.
Officials believe a faulty air cylinder regulator caused the recent mishap, in which no one was seriously injured.
Inspectors reexamined the roller coaster on Wednesday and cleared it to operate again.
