Actors Portray Islamic Villagers For Training
Last updated on Monday, July 24, 2006
(UNDATED) - Several actors from Southern Indiana landed a rather unusual job this summer.
The actors were hired to portray Islamic villagers in a fictitious city for National Guardsmen at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center. The local actors were given set roles and followed daily Muslim traditions.
The goal is to acclimate the soldiers to a Middle Eastern culture before they face the real thing.
