Same-sex Marriage Doesn't Worry State Lawmakers
(STATEHOUSE) - Supporters and opponents agree the senate’s rejection of a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage won’t affect the debate over a similar ban at the state level.
Ryan McCann with the Indiana Family Institute maintains the public supports a ban. He argues it's just become too political to get traction in Washington.
He says he's confident the votes are there in the general assembly to put a ban before Indiana voters if it can reach the house floor.
