Statehouse Spray-Painter Not Guilty
Last updated on Friday, May 26, 2006
(STATEHOUSE) - A man on trial for spray-painting the statehouse has been found not guilty.
19-year-old Robert Ivers was the only person to go to trial following a June, 2005 demonstration opposing the extension of Interstate 69 from Indianapolis to Evansville. A jury could not positively identify Ivers as one of the protestors.
Other members of the demonstration have pleaded guilty to various charges without going to trial.
