State Investigating Microvote General

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Election Commission voted to investigate Microvote General over the question of whether the firm provided non-certified balloting software to 47 Indiana counties, and then caused a scramble to get it certified by the primary election.
Chairman Tom Wheeler says at a hearing two weeks ago, Microvote officials claimed that all 47 county election clerks knew the software had not been certified.
The commission can impose a "death penalty," preventing the firm from doing business in Indiana for up to five years. The Indiana Secretary of State is also investigating, and could impose fines.
