National Spelling Bee Starts Wednesday

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Fourteen Hoosiers are among the finalists in the greatest spectacle in spelling.
The National Spelling Bee starts Wednesday in Washington, D.C., with 275 spellers.
Indiana's competitors range in age from 11 to 14. Five of them are making return trips to the finals.
The second and final day of competition will be televised live in prime time for the first time, on ABC. ESPN has broadcast the bee since 1994.
