Theft Ends In Death
(CHARLESTOWN) - An attempted theft at the former army ammunition plant in Clark County has resulted in a southern Indiana man’s death.
Investigators say 48-year-old James Seal of New Washington was electrocuted Wednesday afternoon.
Police say Seal was on the base legitimately, but appeared to be trying to steal copper when he contacted a live wire. Police made six arrests in connection with similar crimes last week. More than $500,000 worth of wire and pipe had been stolen from the base in the past few years.
