State Teacher's Group Suing State
Last updated on Thursday, April 20, 2006
(INDIANAPOLIS) - A lawsuit is expected to be filed by the state’s largest teachers’ group.
The suit alleges the state's school funding formula doesn't adequately serve all students.
Indiana State Teachers Association Deputy Executive Director Dan Clark says the achievement gap for five groups of students is growing and the legislature doesn't give enough money to the complexity index in the formula targeting those populations.
