(PATOKA LAKE) - Indiana State Conservation officers say an ongoing investigation into a burglary at Patoka Lake has led to the arrests of six suspects, including the alleged ring leader.

Investigators say a vehicle break-in two years ago led to the arrest of 24-year old Joseph Procter of New Albany. During that period, Procter and his accomplices used checks and credit cards that were taken from the vehicle.

The DNR is reminding guests that they should keep valuables in the trunk or otherwise out of sight and keep vehicles locked at all times. In all, police say that Procter and the five other suspects are faced with a total of 30 felony charges.
