(UNDATED) - The U.S. Forest Service is making public its plan for managing the 200,000 acres of National Forest lands in Indiana.

The report calls for a 10-acre clear-cut limit for hardwood trees, which is double the previous limit, a 10-acre clear-cut limit for pine trees stays the same.

The plan also continues a ban on a trail system for all-terrain vehicles. The public has 45 days to comment on the plan, which can be found on the internet at www.fs.fed.us/r9/hoosier.
