UNDATED—State Police are alerting business owners and banks on a counterfeit payroll checks and money order scam.
An increase in the number of real looking payroll checks and money orders has brought in the U.S. Secret Service to investigate the situation.
Recently detectives arrested a Scottsburg man after he allegedly printed a fake check for over $47,000.
