Last updated on Tuesday, February 28, 2006
UNDATED—The Indiana Farm Bureau is predicting a harsh growing season for some farmers in the state, but hot weather doesn’t even factor into it.

Middleton says farming is one of the most energy-intensive professions in America, with gas used to fuel machines to plant, harvest and transport crops.
