Hoosier Remains Returned From New Guinea

MONON—The remains of a White County man who vanished during World War II have been recovered in New Guinea.
19-year-old Army corporal Robert Raney of Monon was on a training flight that crashed in 1944.
The crew was preparing to invade Japan. Raney's remains will be buried with his family at the Monon cemetery.
