Ethanol Plant Expected In Indiana
WINCHESTER—A 150-million-dollar ethanol plant could be coming to Indiana.
Randolph County Commissioners and County Council members voted to sign a non-binding letter of commitment fully granting all of the incentives requested by Cardinal Ethanol. However, four other counties vying for the project also have been invited to offer incentives: Jay, Delaware, and Wayne Counties in Indiana and Darke County, Ohio.
The project would employ 45 people and produce 100 million gallons of ethanol a year, and purchase 36 million bushels of corn a year. Cardinal Ethanol plans to choose a county in which to build its project by the end of January.
