The Indiana Attorney General has confirmed that at least one Hoosier fell for a scam that involves cashing fraudulent checks for pay.
Spokeswoman Staci Schneider says a foreign company enlists people who have placed resumes on job search web sites. Then it offers to pay them to cash checks.
Recently the checks were fraudulent duplicates of those from an Idaho firm. Schneider says the check casher could be charged with a felony.
