Hunters Get Ready For Indiana Hunting Season

INDIANA—There are almost 200,000 acres of land available for hunters in the Hoosier National Forest. This Saturday when deer and turkey hunting seasons open the weather forecast looks ideal.

In Indiana you can hunt from one half-hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset. For those going after turkeys, they must complete their day right at sunset.

Indiana's forest land draws hunters from our surrounding states and as far away as New England, the Carolinas and Upper Michigan, to name a few.

Archers can hunt turkey beginning Saturday thru November 27th. Muzzleloader season for deer waits until December 3rd to begin.
