Last updated on Thursday, December 6, 2018

(SCOTTSBURG) - A cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) led Indiana State Police investigators to the address of a Scottsburg man on Wednesday, December 6, 2018, in reference to possible possession of child pornography.

Officers with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children unit began the investigation in August after receiving information from NCMEC.

Based on information gathered during the investigation, officers requested and obtained a search warrant for the residence 45-year-old Kenneth Scott Geisler on south Gardner Street in Scottsburg.

Officers served the search warrant at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday and, as a result of the search, Geisler was arrested on ten Level 6 felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Geisler was transported and remanded into the custody of the Scott County Jail.
