(EVANSVILLE) - The Greater Evansville Sports Hall of Fame (GESHOF) held its groundbreaking ceremony on September 13, 2018, at 2910 Diego Drive, Evansville, the future location of the Hall of Fame Museum.

Community members and hall of fame inductees were invited to join the team at 10:00 AM for the ceremony and see where the new museum will be built.

"We're excited to show everyone where the Hall of Fame will be," said GESHOF Founder Tim Turpin, "and to finally break ground at the property."

The GESHOF is a lasting tribute to local sports legends within a 75-mile radius of Evansville who filled the seats and made the crowds cheer. The mission of GESHOF is to honor local heroes who have made an impact in the community. The GESHOF honors those who have actively shown their talents and passion in the following categories: Coaches, Players, League or Team Administrators, Media, and more.
