State Employees' Community Campaign 2018 Registration Now Open For Paddle Battle

Last updated on Tuesday, September 4, 2018

(WHITE RIVER CANAL) - Race day is set for one of the signature events during the State Employee’s Community Campaign (SECC). The 13th Annual State Employees’ Paddle Battle competition takes place on Friday, September 14 on White River Canal.

The Indiana State Personnel Department (INSPD) is now accepting team registrations. At 11:30 a.m. Sept. 14, teams from 25 state agencies are set to compete and again we're doing it for charity. The entry fee is $40 per team and includes the boat rental fee. The remaining proceeds ($800) are donated to the winning team's 501 (c) (3) charity of choice for SECC.

The defending champions hail from Indiana Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA) and they'll return to defend possession of the coveted Paddle Battle Oar! We need 24 more teams to challenge them.

Only one team per agency can compete so choose your competitors wisely. Please read all the race guidelines below.

Once your team is confirmed by INSPD Communications, please drop the cash entry fee before the event at the State Personnel Department office, located in IGC-South W161. Our office closes at 4:30 p.m. each business day.

Please be aware of these race guidelines:

Race rules and other information for spectators is posted on the INSPD website. Visit www.in.gov/spd/2730.htm.
