(MICHIGAN CITY) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident, that occurred on Sunday, August 5, 2018, on Washington Park Beach.
54-year-old Lisa Gensinger of North Liberty was located by beach goers, less than 200 feet from shore, unresponsive in the water at approximately 12:30 p.m. Several persons, unknown to Gensinger, entered the water and pulled her to safety.
Gensinger was transported by Michigan City EMS to St. Anthony's Hospital in Michigan City where she remains in Intensive Care.
