The American Legion, Dept. of Indiana Kicks Off 100th Annual State Convention in Indianapolis

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The American Legion Department of Indiana will host the 100th Annual Department Convention, July 12th through the 15th at the Marriot East Hotel in Indianapolis Indiana.

The Department's State Convention is held annually for Hoosier Legionnaires to discuss and vote on Legion business, recognize Legionnaires for their service and conduct elections for new Department officers.

The Department will hold the first of three general sessions for the convention on Friday starting at 2 p.m.

Those scheduled to speak at the Friday session include:
• Governor of Indiana Eric Holcomb
• Senator Joe Donnelly
• Mayor of Indianapolis Joe Hogsett
• Department Auxiliary President Judy Morris
• National Auxiliary President Diane Duscheck
• SAL Detachment Cmdr. Dewey Long
• VA Regional Director Mike Stephens
• Roudebush VA Director Brian Hancock
