State Library Seeking Deputy Director Of Public Services

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana State Library is currently seeking a deputy director of public services.

The deputy director will plan, organize, coordinate, direct and evaluate the functions of the following divisions: Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Reference and Government Services, Indiana Division, Genealogy, Catalog, Manuscripts and Rare Books, Circulation and Support, Conservation, Building Operations and ILL.

The position is a key member of the Indiana State Library administrative team. The position works closely with the Indiana State Library Foundation and other state agencies.

The position oversees the operations for the 84-year-old building located in downtown Indianapolis and the library's collections, which includes ancient records through born-digital documentation.

A master's degree in Library Science from a program accredited by the American Library Association is required and five years of increasingly responsible professional library experience which includes management after receiving MLS is preferred.
