Gov. Holcomb Announces Judicial Appointment For LaGrange County Circuit Court Vacancy

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Gov. Eric J. Holcomb today announced William R. Walz IV as his appointment to the LaGrange County Circuit Court. Walz will succeed Judge J. Scott VanDerbeck, who retired June 1.

Walz currently serves as a deputy prosecutor in LaGrange County and has been with that office since 2016. He previously served as a deputy prosecutor in Marion, Noble, Shelby and Allen counties. Walz earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Indiana and a law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law.

Walz will be sworn in as Judge of the LaGrange County Circuit Court on a date to be determined.
