(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) today hosted Jay County High School Principal Chad Dodd during the House Committee on Education and the Workforce’s Innovation Forum and Showcase, which highlighted 23 innovators who are running education and workforce development programs in their communities.
"I'm excited that Principal Dodd was able to explain this innovative program before the committee," said Banks. "The Jay-Blackford Manufacturing Council is helping to fill the skills gap in a unique way by providing students a career-driven education program in advanced manufacturing. Once again, Indiana is serving as an example to the rest of the country on how we can empower students through workforce development at the local level."
