Attorney General Curtis Hill Will Address The Media Regarding Allegations Of Inappropriate Behavior

Last updated on Sunday, July 8, 2018

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Attorney General Curtis Hill announced Sunday night that he would address the media regarding allegations of inappropriate behavior in connection to a March 15 legislative end-of-session party.

Hill will provide public comments at 10 a.m. Monday on both the allegations and recent calls for his resignation by Republican and Democratic leaders, according to a release from his office.

On Monday, Hill denied allegations that he inappropriately touched women at an Indianapolis bar following the end of the legislative session.

On Saturday, dozens attended a downtown rally calling for Hill to resign.

Earlier in the week, Gov. Holcomb called for Hill to resign and for an investigation into the incident by the inspector general.

Hill has denied the allegations and called them "troubling" and "vicious." He has also said he would not resign and that he is seeking a fair investigation.

A native of Elkhart and a graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington, Hill became attorney general Jan. 9, 2017, after his election in 2016. According to his biography, more than 1.64 million Hoosiers cast ballots for Hill, making him the top vote-getter of any elected official in Indiana history.
