18th annual Back to School Family Day provides 500 backpacks to Marion County residents

(INDIANAPOLIS) - CareSource, a nonprofit health plan, and Covering Kids & Families, a local nonprofit that helps Hoosiers obtain health care coverage, are partnering to host the 18th annual Covering Kids & Families’ Back to School Family Day at the Marion County Public Health Department on Saturday, July 28.

This free event provides funding and 500 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to Marion County residents.

The event will assist Hoosiers with enrolling in health insurance programs, offer free health screenings, entertainment and more. Attendees should bring their income stub for three months, their social security number and proof of address in Marion County. This event is open to the public.

Back to School Family Day will be Saturday, July 28 from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Marion County Public Health Department, 3838 N. Rural St., Indianapolis, IN.
