(GRANGER) - A 14-year-old boy has died from what investigators are calling a freak accident Friday.
Police say 14-year-old Nolan Gerwels was playing basketball in an indoor court at his house when the entire rim, backboard, and supporting bracket came out of the wall and fell on him.
Gerwels was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from a head injury.
