(FRANKLIN) - A Franklin man was arrested after police said he dragged a woman out of a home and into the street early Friday morning when she refused to leave with him.
31-year-old Michael Blackwell was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
A woman told police that she and Blackwell had been drinking at a home in the 1000 block of Hospital Road in Franklin on Thursday evening. Blackwell wanted to leave and she didn't. He knocked her to the ground and dragged her out the home, down the steps, across the sidewalk and to the street around 12:30 a.m. Friday, a Johnson County Sheriff's Office report said.
A neighbor called 911 after hearing the woman scream and seeing Blackwell dragging her, the report said.
Blackwell was arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail where he was held without bail.
