Indiana Conservation Officer Searching Tippecanoe River For Missing Man

(TIPPECANOE RIVER) - Indiana Conservation Officers are now investigating a missing person case.

The missing person is believed to be the man witnesses observed disappear below the water Sunday on the Tippecanoe River.

38-year-old Michael S. Bane of Delphi has not been seen or heard from by family and friends since Sunday around 730 a.m. It is believed Bane intended to swim across the river to a friends house. It should be noted that nobody saw Bane enter the water, Witness descriptions are similar to descriptions provided by the family.

Michael Bane was last seen wearing green pants and a tan shirt. He is described as 6'1" and 170 pounds. His hair is now longer than depicted in the photo.

Investigatory are asking if anyone has been in contact with Bane since yesterday morning, to please contact DNR Law Enforcement Dispatch at 812-837-9536

Indiana Conservation Officers are continuing to search the Tippecanoe River by boat.
