(MOUNT VERNON) - At approximately 9:10 a.m. Sunday, Posey County police received a call regarding a female being shot at 827 Walnut Street in Mt. Vernon.
Police arrived and identified the shooting victim as 39-year-old Crystal Given. She was transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville where she is currently being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Police arrested 48-year-old Rodney Givens.
Indiana State Police say this is an on-going investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Assisting are Mt. Vernon Police and the Posey County Sheriff's Department.
