(OAKTOWN) - Not much information has been released; however, state police do say two people were shot in Oaktown Wednesday night.
The incident occurred at 3386 East Cardinal Road.
A family member had requested a welfare check on the occupants of the home and police arrived on scene at 7:55 p.m. when police arrived at the home they found 56-year-old Sharon M. Patton dead inside the home and 63-year-old Roger S. Darrough with serious injuries in the garage. Both lived together at the residence.
Darrough was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, but was later airlifted to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.
Indiana State Police Detectives say they do not believe anyone else was involved in the shootings.
