Last updated on Thursday, April 26, 2018

(JEFFERSONVILLE) - A Jeffersonville mother admitted she molested her young daughter and shared video of the sex acts for money to buy drugs.

According to police the children's father suspected something was wrong and went through Jaime Simms' phone. That's when he found the inappropriate videos and immediately called police.

Simms visited her 1- and 3-year-old children she shares with the father just last week, spending only "a couple hours a week" with the children.

The father found the sexual videos of Simms with their 3-year-old daughter on Simms' phone

"It's a case where a 3-year-old who was asleep was taken advantage of by an adult," Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull said. "In this particular case, the allegation is that the defendant filmed the child abuse/child molestation that was occurring and then distributed the video of that molestation on apps or websites."

Simms admitted to police that she recorded the videos to sell for drug money. She estimated she made about $200 from the videos, which she used to buy personal items and drugs.
